It first saw life on the IBM PC, inspired by the tragic history of the Cathars and classic platform games for the ZX Spectrum - like Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy. A year later, it would be ported to the Commodore 64 and the Sega Mega Drive (with an option to play in ZX Spectrum mode), as well as OUYA and Mac.
